It was another outstanding day of football in the Iraqi league, with Al-Zawraa managing to come from behind to beat Duhok 3-1 at Duhok, and move second in the table behind leaders Al-Shurta.
The result looks like it has cost the job of Duhok’s Syrian coach Fajr Ibrahim, who reportedly resigned from his post after the defeat.
Current champions Arbil, without their Croatian coach Rodion Gačanin in Baghdad, beat Al-Kahraba 5-3, with goals from Nabil Sabah, Loay Salah, Saad Abdul-Amir and two from Amjad Radhi. Al-Kahraba replied with a hat-trick from Mustafa Jouda.
In the third game played on Monday, Nadi Baghdad beat Sulimaniya 3-2 in Sulimaniya.
