Arbil set to sign second Spaniard

League leaders Arbil are on the verge of snapping up a second Spanish player only days after Jorge Gotor signed for the Yellow Emperors.

Journeyman striker Borja Rubiato jetted into Arbil Airport on Friday, and the club hope to wrap up a deal today and register the player with the Iraq FA and the AFC.

The 29 year-old Rubiato has played for eleven clubs in the past 10 years, including Real Oviedo, Cádiz and the B teams of Osasuna B, Getafe and Atlético Madrid, where he netted 17 goals in 33 games in the 2007-08 season.

His last club was San Antonio Scorpions in the NASL league, in which he made only nine appearances, failing to score in any of his games for the Texas based club during his a four month stint.
